Ross Hires Dumas Native to be District Director

(Washington, D.C.)  Fourth District Congressman Mike Ross (D-AR) on Wednesday announced the appointment of Jeff Weaver as his District Director.  Weaver, a native of Dumas, Arkansas and a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, joins Ross after working for Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR) since 2002.

As District Director, Weaver will be based in Ross’s Hot Springs Office, and his primary responsibilities will include economic development, representing Ross throughout the district at meetings and events, and working with local leaders and elected officials.

“I am pleased that Jeff has joined our team in Arkansas,” said Ross.  “Jeff brings a tremendous amount of experience and enthusiasm with him from Congressman Berry’s office.  As a Fourth Congressional District native, Jeff has an in-depth knowledge of the district and the values and ideals that are important to Arkansans.  I am confident he will do an outstanding job representing me, assisting constituents, and promoting economic development throughout Arkansas.”

Weaver previously served as Project Manager for Berry.  Additionally, he was employed as a Graduate Assistant in Senator Blanche Lincoln’s Little Rock Office.  Weaver is currently completing his Master’s Thesis at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a candidate for a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
