(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st), John
Boozman (R-AR, 3rd), Mike Ross (D-AR, 4th) joined Senators Blanche Lincoln
(D-AR) and Mark Pryor (D-AR), announced more than $500,000 for various
economic development programs throughout Arkansas.
The funds are part of the Rural Housing and Economic Development Program
offered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The
purpose of these grants is to support innovative housing and economic development
activities in rural areas:
Arkansas’ First Congressional District:
• Mississippi County Arkansas E.O.C. - $101,087
Arkansas’ Third Congressional District:
• Crawford-Sebastian Community Development Council, Inc. - $150,000
Arkansas’ Fourth Congressional District:
• Chicot Housing Assistance Corp - $125,000
• South Arkansas Community Development - $150,000
