(Washington, D.C.) Fourth District Rep. Mike Ross (D, AR) Friday announced
the second session of summer interns in his Washington, D.C. office.
Prescott natives Elizabeth Thompson, Megan Taylor and Traci Graham are
assisting constituents and staff members on various projects, as well as
attending seminars and workshops on leadership and government.
“I am very proud of this group of interns, who are already hard at work
in the nation’s capital,” said Ross. “Our office internships are
designed to familiarize students with the inner-workings of the federal
government while teaching the importance of public service. Congressional
internships provide once in a lifetime opportunities for students to immerse
themselves in all aspects of the legislative process, and I am confident
this experience will be rewarding. This is a very bright group of
students, and I know they will be successful in all their future endeavors.”
Thompson is a junior at the University of Arkansas where she is majoring
in political science and criminal justice. She is currently involved
in Campus Crusades for Christ and the University of Arkansas Young Democrats.
Thompson is the daughter of Phil and Janet McAdams.
The daughter of Bill and Karen, Taylor is a sophomore at the University
of Arkansas where she is majoring in advertising and public relations.
She is a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority where she serves as public
relations chair and is active in the University of Arkansas Razorback Booster
Club. Taylor is also an active member of the Wesley Foundation and
the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
A senior at the University of Central Arkansas, Graham is majoring in
sociology with an emphasis in criminology. She is a member of the
Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, the UCA basketball team and the Alpha Kappa
