Statement by Congressman Mike Ross |
|
(Washington, D.C.) Fourth District
Rep. Mike Ross (D-Ark.) today issued the following statement after the
National Park Service and the National Trust for Historic Preservation
announced that Hot Springs National Park’s Bathhouse Row has been placed
on the national list of the 11 Most Endangered Historic Properties.
“This is promising news for Hot Springs and for the region,” Ross said. “By placing Bathhouse Row on the endangered list, the National Trust for Historic Preservation recognizes that our local treasure is a significant part of our nation’s history. Our hope is that this designation will help in securing the necessary funding to preserve our bathhouses, and create new jobs and economic opportunities for the Hot Springs area.” |
