“I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Private Landon S. Giles, who died while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. This brave American lost his life while making the ultimate sacrifice to serve our country, and I will be forever grateful to him for his courageous spirit.

Private Giles was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, based in Fort Stewart, Georgia.  His family resides in Gurdon, Arkansas.
