(Washington, D.C.) Fourth District Rep. Mike Ross (D-Ark) announced
today that the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) will
open a VA Community-based Outpatient Clinic in Mena. The clinic will provide
care to veterans based in Polk, Howard, Montgomery, Pike, Scott,
and Sevier counties.
“This is a great day for the veterans of Polk, Howard, Montgomery, Pike,
Scott and Sevier counties,” said Ross. “Our veterans deserve the best health
care possible, and the Mena Outpatient Clinic will provide essential health
care services to veterans of those areas who would otherwise have to drive
a greater distance,” said Ross.
Community-Based Outpatient Clinics are part of the Veterans Health Administration’s
efforts to improve access to VA healthcare services to veterans nationwide.
CAVHS is contracting with HealthStar Physicians of Hot Springs to provide
the health care services. The clinic is expected to open in May. For more
information, veterans are encouraged to contact CAVHS at 501.257.5694. |
