(Washington, D.C.) Rep. Mike Ross (AR-04) recognized David Atkinson of Hot Springs at a military academy appointee breakfast on Monday in Hot Springs. Ross hosted the military appointee breakfast to honor students who received his nomination and have been appointed to one of the United States Military Academies.
Atkinson, a 2006 graduate of Hot Springs High School is the son of Charles and Katie Atkinson and was recognized for his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy.
“I am honored to nominate David Atkinson to the U.S. Air Force Academy and I commend him on his hard work, which has earned him this distinguished achievement,” Ross said. “The admissions process for our service academies is highly competitive. Our academies seek not only those in peak physical condition, but also those who display natural leadership, high moral character, and a commitment to academics. David clearly represents all of these characteristics, and I congratulate him and wish him all the best as he enters academy life.” |
