Pryce: Economy is Moving on Schedule
Washington, D.C. –
House Republican Conference Chairman Deborah Pryce (R-OH-15) made
the following statement today regarding the Commerce Department’s
announcement that the economy grew by four percent in the fourth quarter
of 2003:
“Following one of the strongest quarters
in almost 20 years, our economy proved that its growth is long-term and
stable. The jobs and stimulus programs Congress passed in 2001 and 2003
were not political quick-fixes, but sound policy for growing our economy
in the long-run and getting Americans back on the job.
“Our economy is as strong as it’s been
since 2000, before the terror attacks that crippled it. Its resilience
is a testament to the strength of the American people coupled with
solid, pro-growth policies.
Congresswoman Pryce
represents the Fifteenth District of Ohio, which includes Western
Franklin County, Madison, and Union Counties. She serves as Chairman of
the House Republican Conference for the 108th Congress, making her the
fourth ranking member of House Leadership.
