Mayor Bloomberg and Bear, Stearns & Co. today completed the sale
and transfer of $650 million in New York State-financed school bonds,
the first state-funded installment towards the Department of Education's
Five-Year Capital Construction Plan. Under legislation passed by the
New York State Legislature and signed by Governor Pataki in April,
the New York City Transitional Finance Authority was authorized to
finance up to $4.7 billion in bonds, backed by State funds.

18, the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) will sponsor
a five-borough flu shot clinic as part of its annual vaccination efforts.

in Queens this weekend. Residents should set out their raked leaves

Enjoy holiday cheer in Brooklyn! Prospect Park in Lights, an eye-catching
installation of more than 600,000 lights, will officially be turned
on Monday, November 27. The launch ceremony begins at 6:00 pm at Grand
Army Plaza. The lights will be viewable every evening through January

falls below 55° between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm and 40° between 10:00
