Public Tours of the White House and U.S. Capitol are available on a limited basis.

If you are planning a trip to our nation's capital, I invite you to contact my Washington Office at (202) 225-4531 or fill out my online tour request form for assistance in making your travel plans. My office is able to provide tickets for Congressional tours of several popular sites within the Washington, DC Metro area. However, tickets are limited, so please get your requests in as soon as possible (6 to 8 weeks in advance).

WHITE HOUSE GARDEN TOURS:
The White House Visitors Office has announced the dates for the spring and summer garden tours. Visitors are invited to view the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, Children's Garden and South Lawn of the White House.The White House Gardens and Grounds Tours will be held on the following dates from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on the South Lawn:

  • Saturday, July 9th
  • Saturday, August 13th
  • Saturday, September 17th

The event is open to the public; however, a ticket is required for all attendees, including small children. The National Park Service will distribute free, timed tickets at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion located at 15th and E Streets on each tour day beginning at 7:30 a.m. Tickets will be distributed -- one ticket per person -- on a first-come basis. Please call the White House Visitor Center at (202) 208-1631 for questions about ticket distribution.

Entry for the Garden Tours will begin at Sherman Park located just south of the Treasury Department. Guests will be escorted to the South Lawn per their designated ticket time. In order to facilitate entry into the grounds, carry-in items will be limited. Strollers, wheelchairs and cameras are permitted.

Tours of the Residence will not occur on the dates of the Garden Tours. Please note that the Garden Tours are subject to last minute cancellation. For information about event status, please call (202) 456-7041.
