Etheridge Announces $600,000 for Cumberland County Military Business Park

WASHINGTON - U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) today announced that he has secured $600,000 in federal funding to develop a military business park adjacent to Fort Bragg. The park would support current and future defense contracting businesses and related services.

"This funding is great news for Fayetteville and Cumberland County," Etheridge said. "This new military business park will attract businesses and help to grow our economy. The jobs and opportunities that the business park will create will make Cumberland County an even better place to live, work and raise a family."

The funding was included in the Transportation, Treasury, Housing and Urban Development, the Judiciary, the District of Columbia, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act, 2006. The conference report must now be approved by the Senate, where it is expected to pass.
