Oberstar Appoints Galliani Aviation Counsel

WASHINGTON-Stacie Galliani is the new Democratic Counsel on staff of the House Aviation Subcommittee.

Rep. James L. Oberstar, (D-Minn.), Ranking Democrat on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, made the appointment.
"Ms. Galliani brings a solid background in aviation law to this position," Oberstar said. "She is well prepared to help our committee meet the legislative challenges ahead as we enter what Chairman Bud Shuster has dubbed 'The Year of Aviation.'"
Galliani comes to the subcommittee from the Federal Aviation Administration, where she served in the Office of the Chief Counsel. Prior to her FAA service, she worked in the Washington law firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, LLP.
A graduate of Marymount University in Arlington, Va., Galliani earned her law degree at Catholic University in Washington.
She assumed the subcommittee post January 11.
