FAQ's

How can I apply to receive a grant from the Markle Foundation?
Over the last few years, Markle has been operating most of its own programs and has funded few unsolicited proposals. We have decided formally to discontinue accepting unsolicited grant applications. We have found that the most effective way for us to leverage our resources is to structure and operate our own projects in cooperation with our partners instead of working as a traditional grantmaking organization.

How can my organization become a partner in one of your current projects?
Markle's approach entails convening multi-sectoral groups of leaders and innovators from technology, government, public interest organizations and business to bring about the technical and policy changes needed to enable breakthroughs in the public interest. We typically seek out partners to help achieve our goals. Our partners have contributed countless hours of their time to our common goals. For the time being, we expect to focus on our Health and National Security programs. Please review the specific program description that you are interested in or contact the appropriate Markle staff for more information.
