Akin to Chair Hearing on Small Business Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform and Oversight

WHAT:	A hearing to discuss the adoption of electronic medical records technology by small medical practitioners. The subcommittee will investigate the challenges small healthcare clinics face in adopting such technology, including, but not limited to, economic costs in light of increasing liability costs and subsequent Medicare payment reductions. The subcommittee will also seek to determine the benefits of adopting technology such as paperwork reduction and the lessening of medical errors.
