The National Taxpayer's Union (NTU) has released its annual report on U.S. Representatives and Senators showing that Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) is a consistent vote for a lower burden on U.S. taxpayers. The NTU awarded Congressman Todd Akin with a fifth consecutive "Taxpayers Friend Award" for being a "highest performer" in Congress when it comes to fighting against increased taxes on Americans.
"I am honored to receive this award, which really is a tribute to the people of the Second Congressional District and their commitment to restraining federal spending. I also want to commend the National Taxpayers Union for its work in monitoring the fiscal actions of Congress," said Akin.
