Boeing Awarded F/A-18 E/F Contract
The Navy contract is for 210 F/A-18 Super Hornets

Washington, DC- Today the U.S. Navy awarded Boeing a multiyear procurement contract for the production of 210 F/A-18 Super Hornets. The contract is valued at $8.6 billion.

"The Super Hornet has proven itself invaluable to America's air power and continues to greatly benefit service personnel on the ground," said Akin in applauding the announcement. "The F/A-18E/F is a proven performer that has excelled in both operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom."

"The Super Hornet is an exceptionally reliable and tremendously effective aircraft that will continue to serve the U.S. military brilliantly," said Akin. "With a history of contracts for the Super Hornet coming in on time and under budget, the St. Louis Super Hornet team can take additional pride in a job well done."
