Completion of I-44 Project Between Bowles and I-270
Sen. Bond and Rep. Akin acknowledged for securing $4 million in funds
St. Louis, Mo- Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO), will join Missouri Department of Transportation Officials, representatives of Daimler-Chrysler and the Mayor of Fenton at a ribbon cutting ceremony to initiate improvements to I-44 between Bowles and I-270.
"These improvements have been among my top priorities," Akin said. "By improving access, adding new ramps and improving traffic flow, this project decreases congestion and increases safety along I-44."
"Senator Bond's work in securing funding for this project has been essential to making this project a reality," Akin said. "This is a great step in upgrading traffic flow, eliminating congestion and increasing safety along the corridor."
