Statement Regarding Bombing of U.N. Headquarters in Iraq
The following statement is by Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) regarding the Bombing of U.N. Headquarters in Iraq.
"The regrettable and reprehensible bombing of the United Nations Headquarters in Iraq demonstrates a total disregard for innocent life. Those who perpetrated this crime are not only enemies of all Iraqis, but also the world.
"While the perpetrators are seeking to undermine the prospect of liberty and dignity for all in Iraq, there can be no doubt the pursuit of peace in Iraq is a challenge that must be won, not only for those who have suffered under the tyrannical rule of Sadam Hussein, but for all nations who value life and freedom."
