Statement Regarding Death of Qusay and
Uday Hussein
Washington, D.C. - Congressman Todd Akin has issued the following statement regarding the report that the sons of Saddam Hussein have been killed in a raid by the 101st Airborne.
“The demise of Qusay and Uday is a milestone in the liberation of the Iraqi people who had long been oppressed by Hussein and his sons.
“The 101st Airborne Division has delivered a major victory, one which clearly underscores the fact that Saddam’s regime of terror is truly defeated and has significant meaning to those who had suffered under its despotic rule.
"This also underscores that the U.S. military will aggressively pursue those that remain an enemy of freedom in Iraq."
