Congressman Akin to Address National Guard at Deployment Ceremony
St. Louis, MO- On Monday, March 17, Congressman Todd Akin will address Company B, 203rd Engineer Battalion during their deployment ceremony at St. Peters’ City Hall. Company B’s is being deployed as the 203rd is being mobilized to support Operation Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle.
Company B, 203rd is based in St. Peters with Detachment 1 in Carthage. The company commander is Capt. Mathew Bacon and the first sergeant is 1st Sgt. Scott Mayer.
“The National Guard epitomizes the spirit and commitment of the citizen soldier, and we are especially proud of those from the second congressional district who have heard the call of duty,” said Congressman Akin who is a member of the House Armed Service Committee.
