President Bush and Commerce Secretary Announce SSM Health Care Baldrige Winner
Washington D.C.- President George W. Bush and Commerce Secretary Don Evans today announced that SSM Health Care was one of three winners of the 2002 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. SSM is the first-ever winner in the award’s health care category. Congressman Todd Akin has issued the following statement.
“I commend SSM Health Care for achievement in winning the 2002 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
“It is an honor for SSM to be the first winner of the award in the health care category.
“The recognition is well deserved and the SSM system has set standards, which will serve as a benchmark within the Health Care community in both our region and across the nation.”
