Rep. Akin Announces 2002 Service Academy Appointments
Congressman Seeks Military Academy Applicants for 2003
St. Louis, Mo.- Today, the office of Congressman Todd Akin is releasing a list of students residing in Missouri's Second Congressional District that have received and accepted appointments by President Bush to an U.S. Service Academy. All of the recipients listed received nominations from Congressman Todd Akin.

Akin Seeks Military Academy Applicants
Akin is now accepting applications from individuals seeking a nomination to one of the U.S. Service Academies for the classes that matriculate in the summer of 2003.
To be eligible for nomination and eventual appointment by Akin, applicants must be American citizens at least 17 and not yet 23 years old on July 1, 2003, not married, have no legal obligation to support dependents and be a legal resident of the Second Congressional District of Missouri.
After reviewing application packets and conducting interviews, Akin will nominate up to ten highly qualified applicants to each of the academies. These include the U.S. Military, Naval, Air Force and Merchant Marine Academies.

When writing, applicants should include their full name, gender, legal address, phone number, email address, date of birth and high school name and graduation year. Please indicate academy preferences. |
