Akin will Address Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce
Congressman will recognize the chamber’s 25th anniversary and speak about the need for Americans to return to work after terrorist attacks
St. Louis, Mo.- Congressman Todd Akin, a member of both the House Small Business and Armed Service Committees, will address the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce during their meeting today, September 19, 2001 at the Doubletree Hotel & Conference Center (16625 Swingley Ridge Drive) at 11:30 a.m.
Akin will present an award certificate recognizing the chamber’s 25th anniversary and speak about the need for Americans to return to work.
“It will not be business as usual, but we must get back to business,” said congressman Akin. “Small business is the backbone of America’s economy, and we need to work hard to ensure that we stabilize our economy in the aftermath of last week’s terror attacks. Along with our citizens, the American economy is also under attack. During what will be a protracted war against terrorism, it is important to bolster our productivity as much as possible.”
