Statement by Congressman Todd Akin Regarding the Pentagon and World Trade Center Attacks
(Washington, D.C.) – “There is no doubt that this morning’s tragedies are deliberate acts meant to kill as many innocent Americans as possible. They convey a level of hatred that most find difficult to understand.
“The attacks this morning are tragic and sober reminders that we have many enemies and the need for ongoing vigilance regarding national security. There must be a measured but strong and decisive response.
“My heart and prayers go out to the families of those killed and injured. These cowardly acts touch every American, and it is time for us to draw together as a nation.”
