Welcome to the American Red Cross of Southwest Louisiana! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit. Our staff & board members are dedicated to serving the needs of Southwest Louisiana.

We are a volunteer led organization whose mission is to educate individuals about emergency situations and provide aid in time of disaster. The American Red Cross is not supported by the government, but depends on funding from Americans who realize the need for helping. In Southwest Louisiana we serve Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis Parishes. We care about our neighbors!

Among the services offered by the American Red Cross of Southwest Louisiana are emergency services during fires and man made or natural disasters, 24- hour emergency communication for military personnel and their immediate families, and community education presentations. In just the year 2005, we provided over 309 persons with aid during single-family fires, and helped 337 families obtain contact with a serviceman. The American Red Cross of Southwest Louisiana also provides training in CPR, first aid, aquatics and water safety and babysitting training. 102 new lifeguards were certified, 860 people received instruction on water safety, and 3,787 individuals were trained in CPR and first aid and 34 babysitters in the 2005 operating year. The American Red Cross is all about service!

We at the American Red Cross of Southwest Louisiana are dedicated to reaching the community. With programs such as Community Christmas, we are showing others what life is all about, helping. We hope that through our actions someone may be touched and someone may see the importance of an extra hand in the time of need.
