CONGRESSMAN DAVID WU BRINGS FEDERAL EXPERTS TO OREGON FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FORUM
 
Agency experts spoke with Oregon entrepreneurs and small business owners on how to grow their businesses by accessing federal resources
 
Beaverton, OR -- Today, Congressman David Wu held a business development forum for Oregon entrepreneurs and small business owners.   Congressman Wu was joined by federal agency experts he invited to Oregon to teach entrepreneurs how to access federal resources to expand their businesses and create new jobs. 
 
"With Oregon's unemployment rate still among the highest in the country, it is essential that Oregon businesses know about federal programs that can help grow their business and create new jobs," said Congressman Wu. "The federal representatives and the programs I brought to Oregon today are an investment in Oregon businesses and Oregonians."
 
As a member of the House Science Committee, Congressman Wu has spent the last five years working with the federal government's research and development, small business, and technology transfer offices. 
 
Experts from the Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership were present. 
 
The event was held at OHSU's OGI School of Science and Engineering and was free and open to the public.
