CONGRESSMAN DAVID WU COMMENTS ON THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA'S DRAFT ANTI-SECESSION LAW

Washington, DC-- Today Congressman David Wu issued the following statement in response to the People's Republic of China's draft anti-secession law:

"At a time of generally improving cross strait relations, I find it regrettable and unnecessarily provocative that the People's Republic of China's government is considering this anti-secession law. The cross strait relationship should be settled peacefully by both sides."

Congressman Wu is a co-sponsor of House Concurrent Resolution 70, the U.S. Congress' response to China's anti-secession legislation.
