Our nation's veterans have my deepest admiration and my commitment to them is unwavering.  Many veterans sacrificed their health and even their lives to protect the freedoms we hold so dear.  They deserve to be compensated for their service to our country. 

I am a cosponsor of H.R. 1919, which would allow veterans with a service-connected disability rated at 50% or more to travel on military aircraft on a space-available basis.  This is a benefit that members and retirees of the military enjoy, and extending it to our disabled veterans is the least a grateful nation can do.

I will continue to work with my colleagues to provide for our veterans who have given us so much.
