The United States Congress is expected to pass the final 2003 spending bill, known as the Omnibus Budget Act, that now includes the entire bill to authorize the replacement of the aging Chickamauga Lock on the Tennessee River with a new 110-foot by 600-foot version to be constructed over the next seven years.
