Access to durable medical equipment is so important to millions of seniors who rely on it for their health and wellbeing. 

While we always need to look for ways to make Medicare more efficient and save Medicare dollars, we must be careful not to do so at the expense of patients who rely on these services.  That is why I have cosponsored H.R. 3559, the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment Access Act of 2005, which modifies the competitive bidding requirements that were included in the Medicare Modernization Act.

We need to make sure that our seniors have access to the services and equipment they need.
