Childcare is an essential part of encouraging people to work. Our country benefits from programs that allow hardworking parents to stay employed and we need to support the efforts of working families by finding ways to help with childcare assistance. Parents need to know that they have access to quality childcare and Congress needs to make every effort to ensure that working families are protected.

H.R. 3524 would amend the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) to provide childcare assistance. A hearing in the Education and the Workforce Committee is going to be held to discuss reauthorization of the CCDBG, which is scheduled to take place this year.
