Spouses of military personnel deserve a level playing field in the job market.  Right now, many employers are hesitant to hire military spouses who may move away sooner than other potential employees.  More needs to be done to help military spouses find employment. 

For this reason, I am an original cosponsor for the Military Spouses Employment Act.  This legislation will expand the Workforce Opportunity Tax Credit to provide employers with tax incentives to hire qualified military spouses.  In addition to helping military families, the legislation will help stimulate local economies in towns that support military personnel.

Members of the United States Armed Forces work everyday to defend our freedom, and should not be disadvantaged because of their service.  I am happy to give this legislation to help military families my strong support.
