Parents have the right to educate their own children and I strongly support home schooling.  As a parent, I know how

important a quality education is to a child’s future.  That is why I decided to cosponsor HR 3753, the Home School

Non-Discrimination Act.  Over the last 20 years, here has been a tremendous growth in the number of students who are home

schooled.  Today, there are nearly 2 million home school students nationwide.  We need to make sure these students are

treated equally in qualifying for financial aid and protecting their academic records.  I admire the hard work and

dedication of all parents who choose to home school.  We need to do all we can to encourage and support that decision.
