Israel is one of the United States most important allies in the Middle East, and we must continue to stand together against Islamic-jihadism and their terrorist tactics. Hezbollah has reared its ugly head in Lebanon and now is in a huge military conflict with Israel.
To reaffirm our solidarity with our ally, Israel, the House of Representatives passed H.Res.921, condemning the recent attacks against the State of Israel, holding terrorists and their state-sponsors accountable for such attacks, and supporting Israel's right to defend itself. The resolution passed with my strong support by an overwhelming vote of 410 to 8.
The real battle is with Islamic-jihadism, a growing global movement embracing radical elements of Islam. We need to be united with our allies and resolute in this fight against tyranny, terror, and Islamic-jihadism. |
