The U.S. Government must support America's businesses.  Concessions sold by the National Parks System (NPS) should be made in the United States whenever possible. 

The Costa Amendment to the Interior Appropriations bill, which requires that the NPS enter into contacts with concession manufacturers who produce in the United States, was agreed to by a voice vote.  The bill later passed the House of Representatives with my strong support. 

Our government should be doing business with American companies.  This amendment protects American business and American workers.
