Firefighters stormed into the World Trade Centers on September 11th and they continue to serve and protect the American people everyday.  Volunteer and career firefighters serve a vital role in our communities and deserve our admiration for the work they do.   

America owes it to our firefighters and their families to properly honor them for their courage and tremendous sacrifices.  Helping make homeownership a reality is one of the best ways to show our appreciation.  I am co-sponsoring the Firefighters Affordable Housing Act because it provides firefighters with assistance on their down payment and mortgage costs. 

We need to support the brave men and women who protect the American people from harm's way.  Homeownership is one dream Congress can help make happen.
