Wamp Reports Defense Bill Meets Wartime Needs

June 8, 2005

Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN) announced Tuesday the House Appropriations Committee approved the $408 Billion defense spending bill that will go to the House floor for our men and women currently serving in the War on Terrorism and future developments in war technologies.

"Our men and women are in harm's way to protect our interests at home and around the world each and every day," said Congressman Wamp. "This bill protects soldiers, provides the equipment they need in the field and puts the best technologies we have in their hands."

This bill, which funds all missions for the Department of Defense, outfits our Armed Forces with personnel benefits, equipment-operational funds and research-development technologies.
