| I wholeheartedly believe that life begins at conception and support any efforts to educate others about pro-life issues. Our Constitution already protects life, and I have sworn to uphold the Constitution. The unborn are the most innocent and vulnerable members of our society and their right to life must be protected.
On May 22nd, I joined 226 of my colleagues to defeat the Sanchez amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act. This poorly conceived amendment would have allowed abortions in military hospitals and used taxpayer money to subsidizing the cost of abortions.
I will continue to serve all East Tennesseans by consistently voting for life. |
