Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-Goddard) today released the following statement in commemoration of Veterans Day, which is being observed on Saturday, November 11:

“On Veterans Day, we take time to honor those men and women who bravely serve and have served our nation in the U.S. Armed Forces. We remember the heroic Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, as well as those who are currently fighting the War on Terror throughout Afghanistan and Iraq. I will continue to work diligently in Congress to ensure that our veterans receive the benefits and care that they have earned and deserve. Today we should all take time to thank and remember those who stand and have stood for America’s freedom.”
