2006 Parade Season Ends With A Blast
|

Marine Barracks Washington would like to thank all those who participated in this year's parade season at the Oldest Post in the Corps, making it a tremendous success. August 25 marked the final Evening Parade of the summer.
An 'Ode to Joy' performance by the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, featuring the Barracks Saluting Battery, ended the 2006 season with a blast.
Highlights of this season included a visit from President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, a Medal of Honor Flag presentation ceremony, and a celebration of the bicentennial of the construction of the Home of the Commandants.
The 2007 parade season begins May 4. Reservations start January 1. All parades are free, however Friday parades require reservations and/or tickets. Please send all requests for reservations or tickets to protocolrsvp@mbw.usmc.mil, call (202) 433-4075 or fax your request to (202) 433-4076 . |
