WASHINGTON,
D.C. – U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) said today that the Republican
Medicare prescription drug proposal would have detrimental
effects on women, especially the poorest and sickest women in the country.
Schakowsky
joined U.S. Representative Louise Slaughter (D-NY) in releasing a fact
sheet from the National Women’s Law Center outlining how the Republican
sham proposal would leave many older women with higher out of pocket costs,
higher co-payments, and less access to needed prescription drugs. |
