WASHINGTON,
D.C. – Two years after the deadly attacks of September 11, 2001, we remember
those who perished as our nation came under attack. To the fallen heroes
who lost their lives while saving others, we are forever grateful, and
to the families of the victims who struggle every day to cope with their
loss, the grieving continues.
We
in Congress are struggling to make our nation more secure, and to provide
fire fighters, police officers, first responders and military personals
with the resources they need to keep us safe here at home and across the
world.
On
this day, we remember the past and hope for a peaceful future. |
