Congressman Jim Saxton

Dear Friend,

Welcome to my Federal Grant Information Page.

If your organization serves the New Jersey's Third Congressional District in Ocean, Burlington and Camden Counties, than I represent you in Washington, D.C.

I annually support funding for various federal grant programs which can help fire companies, police departments, local governments and other organizations improve our communities for the people who live in South Jersey.

While federal grants are very competitive, we've seen good success for grant applicants in the Third District, with over $700,000 in FEMA grants in 2003. In recent years, Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grants and bulletproof vest programs have also yielded funds to local police departments, Health and Human Services grants have helped local Head Start programs and have aided displaced youths to grow up to be good citizens, and Housing and Urban Development grants have helped rehabilitate neighborhoods. Dept. of Transportation grants have improved our travel, and Dept. of Agriculture grants have aided our rural areas.

Many federal agencies post helpful information on their websites about writing a good grant application, and many permit groups to submit applications online. Please feel free to use this page and its information and links to explore possible grants for your organization.

Thank you for being an important part of the Third Congressional District.
