Congressional Art Competition

I would like to thank the art students who participated in the 25th Annual Congressional Art Competition for the 15th Congressional District.

The winning artwork from our local competition will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year alongside artwork from other competitions around the country. The winner and two guest will be flown to Washington, D.C. for the unveiling ceremony.

Competition Guidelines

The size and category guidelines of the artwork that the students must follow includes:

  • Two-dimensional pieces only, which are no more than four inches in depth

  • Each piece must be no larger than 32 inches by 32 inches to the outside dimensions of the frame

  • Paintings (oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc.)

  • Drawings (pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, markers, etc.)

  • Collage (must be two-dimensional)

  • Prints (lithographs, silkscreen, block prints)

  • Mixed media

  • Computer generated art

  • Photography
