Pryce Statement on
Congressman Mark Foley

Columbus, Ohio – Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-Columbus) issued the following statement on Congressman Mark Foley of Florida.

“As a former judge and prosecutor, I join my colleagues in condemning Mr. Foley's actions and calling for further safeguards to protect pages not only while they are serving the United States House of Representatives but after they leave as well.”

“Parents trust their children are safe and secure in the Capitol complex as pages, and former Congressman Foley breached that trust with his reprehensible, abhorrent behavior.”

“I call on Mr. Foley to immediately and fully cooperate with any investigation into his contact with minors.  His actions must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
