To better assist the citizens of the 11th Congressional District and the City of New York, the following links are designed to assist you with any questions and/or concerns you may have at any time.  My office is here to help ensure that you are treated fairly by every federal agency including the IRS ,Social Security, Medicare , the Veterans Administration and the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services. My office is prepared to assist you with any questions or inquiries you have concerning federal agencies.

Information for members of the Armed Forces:
 As a member of the United States Armed Forces, you are entitled to certain benefits when you are on active duty. I have highlighted some specific items that you as a member of the United States Armed Forces should be aware of.

Also I have provided some specific links that will assist you in finding out specific information on items you need to know.

Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services:

Provided by the New York office of the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service, here are some helpful links regarding local filing procedures, finding the status of an individuals case, and other items of note.

United States Service Academies:

 Each year I am allowed to make five nominations to the United States Air Force, Army, Naval, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard Academies. I can provide recommendations and applications, however the student must directly apply to those academies for acceptance. These prestigious institutes of higher learning are among our nation's most challenging in higher education. After completing their studies, all academy graduates go on to become commissioned officers in our nation's armed forces. Interested students are encouraged to seek admission.

 Any high school student interested in attending one of the academies, or, anyone who would like to obtain additional information about the academy nomination process should contact my District Office at (718) 773-3100.

Flags Flown Over The Capitol:

 When requested by constituents, my office will assist you in the purchase of U.S. flags that have been flown over the Capitol Building. You may request that your flag be flown on any date, and on behalf of any person or to commemorate an occasion. All flags come with a certificate of authenticity stating the date the flag was flown and signed by the Architect of the Capitol.
