There are over 1,400 federal domestic assistance programs available to improve the quality of life of all Americans. In 2003, the Federal government awarded over $441 billion in project and formula grants and $261 billion in guaranteed and direct loans nationwide.
I hope that educational institutions, nonprofit and faith based organizations, communities and regional planning agencies will utilize the grant information that I have posted on this Web site to research and apply for federal funding opportunities that will improve the quantity and quality of services and programs in the First Congressional District.
In addition to this Web site, my economic development staffers in each of my district offices can provide grant research and support services to those interested in applying for federal funding. If you are having difficulty finding grant programs that meet your organization's needs or have any questions about applying for federal funds, please feel free to contact my following staffers:

Please allow me to send a letter of support to the appropriate federal agency on your behalf. My staff will also track your proposal during the review process and keep you updated on its status. Please contact the appropriate economic development staffer for additional information.
I hope you will find this information helpful.
