Washington, D.C. - Today Representative Nadler announced his plan to gather information directly from voters and voting rights activists in order to further efforts by Members of the Judiciary Committee and the Government Accountability Office to investigate the voting irregularities that have been reported since Election Day. Rep. Nadler will be using a form on his website http://www.house.gov/nadler/ to gather evidence about voting irregularities and to share information with interested parties about progress in the election inquiry. "I am hopeful that the information people provide will be helpful to Members of the Judiciary Committee to assist in our inquiry," said Rep. Nadler. "The goal is to make it easier for concerned citizens to share their views and insights with the interested Members of the Judiciary Committee," he continued. The House Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction over the Voting Rights Act, the Help America Vote Act, and constitutional rights to free and fair democratic elections. Rep. Nadler said, "As the Ranking Member on the Constitution Subcommittee, I want to hear from you. If you have information that would be useful to the Committee as it considers voting rights issues, items that should be investigated, or would like to provide a testimonial, please fill out the form below." To access the form or to sign up to receive additional information go to www.house.gov/nadler/. ### |
