U.S. trade policy is a tool to shape globalization to the advantage of American businesses and its workers. In this era of globalization, the philosophy of "more trade is always better, no matter its terms or contents" is more outdated than ever.

Rep. Levin is a leader on international trade issues in the Congress. He served as the Ranking Democrat of the Trade Subcommittee of Ways and Means from 1999 through 2004. He is currently a Member of that Subcommittee.

Rep. Levin believes that we must both expand and shape trade.
