Meeting with Local Korean-Americans on North Korean Crisis

U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee called together a meeting with local Korean-American community leaders to talk about the current crisis in North Korea, as well as other issues of importance. The meeting was open to the public. Inslee opened the meeting with a statement, and the rest of the meeting took the form of a listening session. State Sen. Paull Shinn, representatives of the Korean American Association, and others attended.

Inslee thanks Mr. Sungchoo Hong, President, Korean American Association of Seattle, while U.W. Professor Clark Sorensen looks on. Standing behind them is Doris Haan, of Radio Hankook (KSUH 1450), a Korean radio station in Seattle.

After the event, Inslee remarked, "The First Congressional District is home to Washington's second largest Korean population, and I am grateful for this wealth of knowledge here in our state. I appreciated very much the perspective and information these constituents have communicated to me."
